JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Establishing & Managing Processes

    • Create, update, and maintain standard/template workflow processes in line with company quality and operational standards, especially for new projects during the project build phase.
    • Define steps, roles, responsibilities, and approval workflows for each project.
    • Configure and maintain these workflows in process or test management systems to ensure alignment with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and related quality gates.

2. Test Strategy & Execution

    • Design and define comprehensive test strategies: determine scope, objectives, test types (functional, regression, API, performance, security, usability, UAT, etc.), data/test environment planning, and risk-based prioritization.
    • Create, write, and maintain test cases/scripts for both manual and automated testing contexts.
    • Conduct manual, regression, user acceptance (UAT), and functional testing as required.
    • Oversee and coordinate test automation efforts: identify automation candidates, design or maintain automation frameworks, and collaborate closely with developers or automation engineers.
    • Monitor and analyze defect rates, trends, and severity/priority distribution; identify root causes and evaluate testing effectiveness.
    • Continuously propose improvements to test coverage, efficiency, defect detection, and product quality.

3. Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

    • Track key metrics such as test throughput, pass/fail rates, defect density, test coverage, and cycle times.
    • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or quality weaknesses; recommend improvements to processes or testing approaches.
    • Collect feedback from QA/QC, development, product, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

4. Technical Support & Training

    • Guide and support teams in using process, test management, issue-tracking, and defect-reporting tools.
    • Conduct training sessions and workshops on software testing methodologies, quality best practices, automation basics, and company standards.
    • Mentor junior testers or QA/QC staff in testing techniques, defect handling, and process compliance.

5. Reporting & Compliance Control

    • Produce periodic reports on test performance, defect trends, process adherence, and compliance status.
    • Recommend policy or process updates in response to audits, project changes, or evolving quality objectives.
    • Ensure documentation, checklists, test records, and process artifacts are complete and consistently updated.
REQUIREMENTS

1. Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Quality Management, or a related field.

2. Experience:

    • Junior: Minimum 1 year in PQA, QA/QC, process management, or software testing (QA/QC professionals aspiring to move into PQA are welcome).
    • Senior: At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and testing (with flexibility to perform in both QA and QC roles).

3. Skills / Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of SDLC and QA/testing methodologies.
    • Able to work under pressure and adapt well to new environments.
    • Ability to design test plans, test cases, and test strategies across various testing types (functional, regression, API, performance, etc.).
    • Experience with both manual and automated testing.
    • Proficiency in test management and issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar).
    • Basic scripting or programming knowledge (e.g., SQL, Python, Java) is a plus.
    • Strong analytical skills to interpret test metrics and defect trends.
    • Excellent communication, coordination, and mentoring skills.
    • Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
